The World Economic Forum (WEF) released its gender gap report finding women are a decade behind when it comes to pay - earning now what men earned in 2016 for the same work! If this doesn't shock you enough - look at the representation of women on panel discussions at the WEF in Davos over the past week - a mere 17%.
In my opinion, changing this narrative has already begun with campaigns like #HeForShe (where we feel men need to take part in the dialogue and we need to move beyond archaic notions of hateful feminism) and lean in (where women are encouraged to speak up, step up and move up).
